KEVIN HAN, the other cofounder of Just in Time Solutions (see Mike Lanza under Click TV) relocated to a beautiful farm in Grand Rapids MI to be near his wife's family. After a long executive search he landed an exciting VP position at a new products division of Herman Miller. Kevin introduced MUDHAUS to his team and after a big presentation, we were selected to brand this new division. Herman Miller had already chosen two names for this venture; Viaro was to be the new company name, and Motus would be the first product line.
Because the technology behind this company was still under development, we had the opportunity to participate in its development by defining/describing its function. So the design exploration became intertwined with the product and technology exploration. It was what Mudhaus loves best and this usually only happens with small startups. It was a pleasure to have a similar chance to explore these things within a larger company.
In any case, the team was ultimately ahead of its time and Viaro was put on a back burner. It appears however to have re-emerged this past spring as Convia.
