"IN 1999, ADAM LOWRY AND ERIC RYAN delved into something incredibly banal--cleaning products ... the guys made cleaning products hip. They threw out the chlorine bleach and other chemicals in favor of natural substances and enlisted design wizards Michael Rutchik and Karim Rashid to make bottles so sleek you could package perfume in them."
-VANITY FAIR | May 2007 Green Issue
...
Of course the real story here isn't the moxy Eric and Adam had to take on the giant cleaning products industry, but rather the gracefulness with which they turned their backs on the hi-tech world at its peak (six months before the collapse) so they could turn cleaning products into the next big thing. As luck would have it, the next bubble became The Home. Now that that one's crashed too, method has nimbly focussed on simply being the best (and cleanest) cleaning products company there is.

MUDHAUS designed and produced all things graphic for method from their inception until late 2005 when I assisted them in forming what has become a killer in-house team. I shot portraits of their 80+ San Francisco-based employees in 2007.
